The kitchen was at the top of out ‘to do’ list when we moved in. It was by far the most dated room in the house and needed a lot of attention. I have seen people completely transform their kitchens just by painting cabinets and updating handles, and if your units are still in good shape then lucky you – go get the paint out! Unfortunately there was no saving ours so our only option was to rip it all out and start again.

Recently I’ve been experimenting a little more with texture, it’s a brilliant way to add interest and depth to your home.
There are many ways in which you can add texture, the first and perhaps most obvious way, is by adding a rug. Santa bought me a beautiful diamond shaggy rug this year which has made such a difference to my living room.
I realise that I’m a little behind the times with this – but you know what they say, better late than never. I’ve been thinking about starting a blog for a while now, in fact longer than a while, but I just haven’t found the courage to bring myself to do it.
After joining Instagram last year (I told you I’m behind the times!) I have been so inspired by all the talented, creative and just down-right lovely people out there. When a few of my very lovely followers suggested they would like to see me start a blog, I decided I wouldn’t put it off any longer.
