Something I hear so often from friends and family is “I just don’t know what kind of look or styles I like.” I can definitely relate to this. Except for me it’s more that I like every sort of style! One minute I want the all-white, modern, minimalist look and the next I want the busy and colourful bohemian look – how do I choose?!
I love these wire grid memo boards that seem to be everywhere at the moment. They’re great for displaying all sorts of cute cards and other bits and pieces. I wanted one for my kitchen to store recipe cards and all the lovely (and I think hilarious) postcards that I can’t stop buying from Paperchase!
I would love to be able to work from home, if not all the time, then at least 80% of the time please. Who’s with me?
I’m a real “home girl” and by that I mean that I am a girl who never gets bored of being at home, and not in the sense that the teens of today might mean!
I have a new crush…washed linen bedding. Isn’t it pretty? Just makes me want to curl up with a good book and a giant cup of tea and never leave!
I am just loving the botanical trend that’s everywhere at the moment! I wish, wish, wish I was brave enough to embrace the trend fully with floor to ceiling leafy wallpaper or a floral print sofa! But I’m sorry to say I’m not (even if I was, I think I’d struggle to persuade the hubby on this one!) But when I look at these gorgeous images I am seriously tempted…
Wall art is one of my favourite things to buy! It’s so easy to change the look of a room just by adding or updating prints and pictures.
The vintage map above the fireplace in my living room was the first thing I bought, and the look of the room really came from this. I chose the grey wall colour to make the map stand out, and added gold accessories throughout the room to match the frame. As soon as I put the map on the wall, the room just seemed to come together.
Our bedroom is coming along far too slowly for my liking! I promised myself I wouldn’t buy any housey bits this month as we’re off to Vegas in a couple of weeks (woo!) but it’s bugging me that this room hasn’t come together yet.
So today I thought I would share a few of the things I would be buying if I didn’t have my no shopping rule…
A few of you have asked me to share a few tips on how to create a gallery wall so today, that is exactly what I am doing :)
I wish I could tell you to just to start banging nails into walls and hanging frames and it will all come together…but unfortunately, I haven’t found that to be the case. A good gallery wall takes a bit of planning.
As soon as Christmas is over the retail world turns its attention to Valentines. A day which some love, others loathe and some just treat as any other day!
