I’ve had my trusty “Easter tree” for years now. When I first put this up everyone thought I was mad…But now, Easter decorations are absolutely everywhere and slowly people are starting to think I’m less mad… :)
With Easter just around the corner I’ve started to think about how I’m going to get the house ready, and what bits I need to add to my collection. Today I’m sharing what I think, are the essential Easter decorations…oh yes there is such a thing as an essential Easter decoration!
The Easter Tree
I may have made my Easter tree sound a bit fancier than it is! It’s basically a collection of branches accessorised with hanging pretty pastel eggs and a few clip on birds. If branches aren’t for you, why not decorate this lovely white tree from John Lewis or simply arrange a collection of artificial blossom sprays like these from Notonthehighstreet.com
As for decorations, stay with Not on the High Street – they have so many lovely bits and pieces. Here are just a few of my faves…
A Spring Wreath
I got mine from John Lewis a few years back but it’s very ‘Eastery’ – it’s all eggs and feathers so this year I’d like to get one that’s more Spring-like so I can keep it up for longer.
Here are a few of the best wreaths I found, I just love the Peony Magenta wreath from John Lewis but just not sure I can justify the price tag, even if I do get to keep it up a little longer!
Flowers
The easiest way to get your house ready for Spring is to fill it with flowers. My favourites for this season have to be daffodils, hyacinths and tulips. I love the idea of making a centre piece for my table like this lovely one I found on Pinterest.

Garlands and Bunting
I don’t need an excuse to put a garland up in my house, but if you do – then Easter is just the excuse you’ve been looking for! All of these lovely bits are from Notonthehighstreet.com. (This post isn’t sponsored by them I promise – they just happen to do a really good job of Easter decs!)
Ooh writing this has got me excited to get mine up now – off to the loft I go! I will be sharing a few pics as soon as mine are up on the blog and of course on Instagram – and as always I would love you to share yours with me!
You’ve convinced me!
I’m definitely ‘doing’ Easter this year. Your ideas are lovely, thanks for the inspiration!

I have been inspired to re-use my Xmas branch tree (just a branch painted with white emulsion) as an Easter Tree, let the Easter decoration shopping begin.
