Little Greene – London Wallpapers V

A short while ago the lovely people at Little Greene contacted me to see if I would be interested in working with them to promote their new wallpaper collection London Wallpapers V. As I’m sure you know I’m a huge fan of Little Greene and so of course, I jumped at the chance!

We were currently in-between homes but my parents had asked for my help in designing their beautiful beamed hallway and one of the papers in particular – the Carlton House Terrace Blue Plume was just what I had been looking for! The hallway is a fairly narrow space with not much room for furniture so the idea was to make a statement with a beautiful striking wallpaper.

The peacock feather design which was found in the attics of 18 Carlton House Terrace, a beautiful London town house overlooking The Mall. Originally green feathers on a yellow background, it has been updated in the most beautiful jewel colours and the result is a paper that is as elegant as it is striking.

We teamed it with one of my favourite Little Greene paint colours – Mono, to keep it bright as there is not a great deal of natural light in the space.

The rest of the collection is just as beautiful. I can’t get enough of pink and green at the moment and Little Greene have created two beautiful schemes using Lower George Street – Carousel on the left and New Bond Street Hide on the right.

The range includes a mixture of damask prints, hand-stencilled patterns and designs from the Georgian and Arts & Crafts periods, each having been updated into colour ways that suit 21st Century homes. They are some of the most beautiful and unique designs that I have seen.

So tell me, which is your favourite?
